GUNSnLASERS free roam virtual reality in Riga gives players the freedom to move around a 10 x 10 metre play area without cables. Unlike classic virtual reality, where the player usually stays in one place, free roam VR lets you walk, hide, cooperate and actively respond to what is happening in the virtual world.
From 1 to 10 people can play at the same time. Different VR games are available, from zombie and combat adventures to escape rooms, treasure hunts, team challenges and virtual cooking. This makes it easy to choose a game based on the group’s interests and preferred pace.
Free roam VR is suitable for birthday parties, gatherings with friends, family entertainment, school trips and corporate team building events. Participants can work together on a shared mission or compete against each other, so the experience suits both active players and those who prefer solving challenges and exploring the virtual environment.
Free roam virtual reality is available at the GUNSnLASERS Šampēteris entertainment park and at the Galerija Centrs shopping centre. In Šampēteris, VR can be combined with laser tag, paintball and the Pixel Room. At Galerija Centrs, electric go karts, private karaoke rooms, billiards and an airsoft range are also available.

Free roam VR is a virtual reality experience where the player does not remain in one place but physically moves around a spacious play area. Those movements are transferred into the virtual world, allowing players to walk, hide, cooperate and actively take part in the game.
In classic virtual reality, you usually stay in one place and control the game with controllers, focusing on an individual experience or playing in a small group. In free roam virtual reality, you physically move around the room, cooperate with others and solve challenges together. Free roam VR places more emphasis on teamwork, communication and spatial awareness, while classic VR focuses more on individual reactions, accuracy and personal immersion in the virtual environment.
From 1 to 10 players can take part at the same time.
Available experiences include combat games, zombie adventures, VR escape rooms, treasure hunts, team games and other virtual adventures. GUNSnLASERS instructors will help you choose a suitable VR game. Some popular options include DragonFall, a fantasy game where the team fights enemies and completes missions together in a dynamic environment. Cyberclash offers a futuristic scenario with intense action where reaction, tactics and communication matter. Lunarscape takes players on a space adventure focused on exploration and solving challenges together. Kitchen Panic! offers a lighter, humorous experience where speed, coordination and teamwork create a fun group challenge.
Sessions are available for 30 minutes, one hour or two hours.
Yes, but people who tend to experience dizziness in virtual reality should start with a calmer game and a shorter session. Movement in free roam VR often feels more natural because the player physically moves around the room, but sensitive players may still experience discomfort. Tell the instructor before the game so they can help choose a more suitable experience. If dizziness or nausea appears, the game should be stopped.
